Cultivate your Creativity

Cultivate your Creativity

I’ve come to realise that the reason I love my little blog and Instagram so much is because it gives me the opportunity to be creative. I’m not the best writer or photographer but is something I love to do. I’ve always had a keen interest in books, writing and photography and my blog and instagram give me the chance to grow my ability within my creativity.

Come join me on Instagram

Creativity for me is a chance to escape and look at life in a more meaningful way. It helps me to pause and take stock of the things all around me. You may have realised that I have a love of Tea and regularly share variations of me drinking Tea on my instagram. Its not just about the shot but more a chance to stop and pause really observing my everyday moments. These moments make up my everyday and tell the story of my everyday life. These everyday objects and activities can be the most inspiration in my creativity.

My blog and instagram are what have allowed me to cultivate and grow this creativity in abundance, everywhere I go it is a chance to seek out my creativity. A walk in the park with the dog, a coffee with a friend, lazy sunday mornings in bed drinking tea, sat at my desk writing a blog post, these all fuel my long to be creative, write and capture these everyday moments. Pausing, taking a minute to savouring the seasons are all ways that are helping me slow down this crazy busy life we all seem to live. Taking note of the smaller things can help us to reach the bigger more extraordinary things in life.

Cultivating your creativity can come from many forms

Painting / drawing

Knitting/ sowing

However you choose to grow your creative side this will help you slow down and focus. Savouring the moments and taking in the benefits that creativity brings.

Do you have a creative side ?

Is being creative part of your quest to take time out and savour the small things in life?

I am not the world’s greatest phoptographer but I do love it as a creative outlet – that and writing! I think it’s so good for our wellbeing to cultivate our creativity.

I think it’s so important to express ourselves creatively – even if you don’t consider yourself ‘a creative’ – everyone has a creative side. I like to draw, craft, write and take photos. I find drawing most relaxing though! x
